Dear Blake,

When you asked me to help you get ready for your campout, this is what I wanted to do:

But instead, being the AWESOME wife that I am, I slaved over the 425 degree oven on a 100+ degree day, to make you and your little scoutie-boys the biscuits you asked for. I hope that your breakfast is delicious. Paisley, Cosette, and I might just have to do a Krispy Kreme run when we get up... all frugalness is out-the-window when I am in "my husband is camping, I need something yummy" mode.

Maybe if I spend enough money you will reconsider bringing me along next time. The young women always have to have the priesthood around when we are camping - don't you need a feminine influence when you are? I mean who is going to make sure the boy's tents are set up in a color-coordinating order? Who is going to make sure that all the boys receive at least one ribbon-enhanced handout per day with an uplifting quote and/or scripture? Who is going to determine which matching shirts you are going to wear on which day? Or who is going to make sure that you all put on sunscreen, or drink enough water, or be nice to the nerdy kids? Aren't these things important to you guys?!?

Anyways, it is time to go lay in bed and stare at the ceiling in hopes that I can drift off to sleep sometime tonight. You do know that I hate sleeping without you, right?

All guilt-trips aside, I do hope you have fun and don't forget the sunscreen.

Love,
Your wifey

P.S. Tell the boys not to worry.... the green flecks in the biscuits isn't some kind of mean mom trick to get them to eat veggies, somehow a little of Paisley's Playdoh found it's way into the batter :)

I totally agree with you! It sucks being left at home! Next campout we'll have to plan a girls only party.

Cyndi, SO funny/saaad! You should get to go, I never know how the men survive without a woman there to remind them to plan enough food & all! Hope you were able to get sleep & splurged on those Krispy Kremes!

Cyndi I agree! But do you really want to know the truth about what they are doing?? Brent has come home with great stories I wish I never knew about people in my ward! You are an amazing scout master wife!
