My house is empty... it echoes, smells like way too many cleaning products, and has nothing left to prove that we were ever here.
We came to Mesa with NOTHING. I swear everything we owned - including our clunker car - was a hand-me-down. This home was like a mansion compared to the apartments that we were in at BYU. It made a good home - it welcomed our first two children to this world, hosted numerous YW and YM activities, and was perfect for dinner and games with friends.
Ten years from now, I wonder how much we will remember about living in AZ. Will only the sweaty summers and unfortunate run-ins with cactus come to mind? I hope not. I am glad I have this blog to always remember the moments that made this house our home... it was a pretty good home and I never thought I would be this sad to say goodbye.

Such a bitter sweet thing! huh!! But it is always good to have some change, and I know you guys will love it in Boise! I am seriously so happy for you and good luck with everything over the next couple of days!
Good luck with the move!
It's weird huh? I sneaked into (broke into?) my house when I was in AZ over Christmas and it was all echo-y and weird. But I'm lucky that I took a piece of my lovely green room wall before they painted over everything! I'm sad you're moving! But I'm also happy for your new opp-or-tun-i-ties! Love you, Zoe.
boo hoo! I've been trying not to think about you moving all week... it makes me sad!
Best of luck though! We will always remember you wonderful people! We love you!
Hey there Cyndi, not sure if you even remember who I am but I was browising around on craigslist and saw your house for rent, and I saw the pics and I really thought I recongnized it, sure enough it was yours.... Thats awesome you guys get to move out of AZ and continue with your lives. Hope you guys are doing super well and hope that the move goes well. Good luck!!
HOW EXCITING! The people in AZ are what make it so lovely, otherwise why would anyone live there!? (I am allowed to say that having lived there for 26 years!) NOW you will have BOTH in Boise, Great people AND LOVELY scenery/weather!!! I am so jealous you have family there- I wish my family didn't all live in stinkin AZ!!!
Good luck on the move, hope the girlies are great for you! And good luck to Blake with his new job!
Maybe we will get to see you more now that you are so close to home!
I am so surprised... Looking at pictures of your Arizona house makes me homesick for the DESERT! What?! I don't think either of us expected to miss it at all, but it really was a good place to be. Hope you're loving being close to family! :)
