Monday Moms!

Clingy: Adjective. To hold fast or adhere to something, as by grasping, sticking, embracing, or entwining.

So Paisley is what I would call clingy. During her waking hours, I rarely find a moment when some part of her is not touching me... If I stand up she wants to be held, if I sit down she wants to sit on my lap, if I lay on the floor - it's an all-out "mauling." There are lots of moments when I just don't want her to touch me anymore! I try to remind myself that I should feel lucky that someone in this world loves me as much as she does; that to her I am the best person that ever existed... Because sadly one day she is going to grow up and then I will have to deal with her walking 8 steps behind me in the mall so that no one would ever think that "the crazy lady" in front of her is actually related to her. Oh I dread when she is a teenager... it honestly makes me queasy if I think about it too much. Blake keeps telling me that I have nothing to worry about, but he grew up in some alternate reality where teenagers never talked back to their mom. One of these days, I am going to have to beg to be in the same room as her, let alone get a hug. So until then I hope to enjoy doing my makeup with her sitting on my lap, trying to take a step with her wrapped around my leg, holding her little sticky hands, washing dishes with her standing on the chair next to me, taking showers with her head poked around the curtain, vacuuming with her helping to push, and every other moment that I am never alone.

P.S. Never do a Google Image search for "Cling Wrap"... you just never know what you will get in this lovely world we live in.

You crack me up Cyndi. When I first saw the seran wrap I thought of the picture of you all seran wraped like the statues at BYU. I'm pretty clingy too. Poor Jason. Just kidding :-)

You are so much fun! I love your posts! Just love them. It's true....and they grow up soooooo fast. I'm sad all the time my baby is a senior in high school - but a good good guy. I'm lucky.
You're hillarious! Love the Saran Wrap picture.
