Monday Moms!

"Above all else, children need to know and feel they are loved, wanted, and appreciated. They need to be assured of that often. Obviously, this is a role parents should fill, and most often the mother can do it best." -Ezra Taft Benson

I have noticed a trend... the days that I dread posting about the greatness of motherhood are the days I need it the most! Lately, I have felt like "Mom-zilla" - between waiting and waiting for baby #2 and battling one sickness after another with Paisley - I feel that I am far from handling this mom thing with any grace. So, once more I read through my collection of mom quotes, found one that I felt I needed, and pass it on to all of you.

I like this quote because I feel that sometimes all I have to give to Paisley is my love. Someone else could teach her the alphabet. Someone else could feed, bath, and clothe her. Someone else could even share the gospel with her. But NO one will ever love her like me. I hope to be a little better about making her feel loved and wanted instead of just tolerated. Besides pretty soon, she is going to have to share the place of "center of Mom's universe" with another little one and I am sure that really is going to throw her for a loop.

So so true - makes me feel bad, because I KNOW that I tolerated my kids far more than I should have. I do it with my grandkids too.... Life is hard...which why we always can start today... to becoming a better mom, wife, daughter and friend.
Thanks...

Great mom doing great things - the perspective of the immediate sometimes makes it less impressive. Keep up the good work - and maybe you can wish your next prenancy on Jaci.
