Thank You Mothers!

Since Cyndi uses MY account to write on this blog, I (Blake) am going to take the liberty of writing a post myself.

I just wanted to say: Thank you mothers!

I have had to work late all week. Meanwhile, Cosette needs to feed every few hours and Paisley is jealous and moody. Luckily Cyndi stays home so that she can raise our girls and give them the attention they need. My mom also came down this week to help out, and it has been wonderful having her here, especially since I've had to work so much. Last week Cyndi's parents were here and that was a great help as well.

Generally speaking, the mothers have the harder job. It's relatively easy to go to work, make some spreadsheets, and come home. It's not so easy to wake up all hours of the night (as Cyndi's earlier post attests), entertain a 1 year old, or pacify an infant, all while not being able to fully pursue all your own interests. The other night Cyndi asked me how she was going to be able to take care of two kids. I began to wonder how any mother takes care of two kids; it turns out I'm not really sure. I do know that Cyndi's mom raised 8 great kids and my mom raised me and 3 others. I am grateful for them both. And I am especially grateful for Cyndi, who's raising my two girls! I love them all, and I know that Cyndi will be able to do just as good of a job as my mom or her mom (I just don't know how it's done). I hope that the time Cyndi invests in our girls helps them become just like she is.
